A Road Trip Too The Nations Capital, And Then To The Blue Mountains.

Sorry once again for the absence friends, I have been on a road trip across a few states visiting here an there. The wife liked the spur of the moment graffiti as she called it, an encouraged me to do a few more..just not on our walls..(Which I will be repainting white soon..lol)

I'd like to share a few snap shots I took along my trek, some interesting and some just awesome.

Summary of Shots: Giant T.F. Bumble Bee sculpture, Rhinestone Art on a Mini Cooper, A Wood Carving made from 1 piece of drift wood, 8 Foot tall Penny made from pennies, a look outside into a thunder storm while in the Blue Mountains, a few shots after the storm surrounding the peak.

I have some video of a city made of wooden tooth picks that I hope to share soon.

Pissing Off The Wife With Art...LoL

Ok friends, here is a story for the records..hahahaha
So my wife wants me to do some handy work type stuff around the house ( when all I wanted to do was create)...Welp...figured I would kill two birds with one stone, did some landscaping and painting today.
The whole time working I spent day dreaming about creative projects I could undertake, like making stick figures out of cut grass..hahah.
When I finally finished painting the drive way back wall white, ALL I COULD SEE WAS A BLANK CANVAS!..oh yeah...time to piss off the wife....grabbed the ol rattle cans from the garage and went at it.

Did this little galaxy within about 10 minutes free hand, THE NEXT TIME IM USING MY AIR BRUSH.
"Evil Laugh". Cant wait to see what the other half has to say when she see's this in the morning, my neighbors loved it though...P.S.....If  I dont update in a week....Im in the hospital suffering from a frying pan barrage...LOL

Pacific Rim New Trailer.

The new Pacific Rim Trailer is awesome, The fact that mom is the sole reason behind my love of sci-fi and is no longer here to see this SUCKS.
She had to be 1 of few older woman who has seen howls moving castle, princess mononoke and the like,

Happy Mothers Day To ALL MOM'S Out There And To the One I Lost.

Firstly I'd like to send out a heart felt HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to any an all MOM'S who frequent or stumble across my blog, secondly to my MOM who was recently lost to me and my family.

After spending the day packing up her apartment it has turned a 220lb 6'.1" hardened man back into a weeping child yearning for his mother's unconditional love, So...Too the guys out there...I don't care how
bad a$$ you think you may be...Appreciate yer MOM....the loss of one's mom is inexplicable...no matter how close or detached you may be....it gets you in a place you did not think existed.

Debbie, My Mom, My biggest fan....I Miss you.

On April 27th at 3:06 am, My Mother Debbie passed away as I and my siblings held her tight.

She was......

My inspiration, My biggest fan, ....... My Mom.
she impacted so many lives, she sacrificed so many things, she gave her last so others could have, she loved when others would not, she fought when most would have given up.
All that I am and have ever over come is owed to her, all that I have achieved or tolerated is due to her.

Its a wonder that animals had never been afraid of her, and I feel that much poorer with her absence.

Thank you for being my mom, I miss you terribly.

THANKS DC23!.... Just Picked Up My First "EVER" Mini Due to Your TrollBlood Kit.

Today was a very good and interesting day.

1st.....I turned 41 years Young today.
2nd....My best friend DC23 helped me decide to try my hand at WarGamming Mini's with his recent TrollBloods Mini.
3rd.... I was invited to help re-vamp my favorite Local Hobby Store.(shopping there since I was 11)
4th.....Bumped into a old classmate.(good friends way back then)

Now as most may figure out... I have a deep admiration for the artist's who do WarGamming Mini's, But never really ventured into them for a few reason's..mainly I love spray painting as a medium.

But granted when I was younger Oil Painting with brush and canvas was were I first cut my teeth, So as a small birthday present to myself . I bought a WarHammer Mini
Lizardman Saurus OldBlood and I hope that I can pull off as nice a finish as my Brother DC23'S Trollbloods Madrak.

(Yo Don....My Lizardman Oldblood is gonna wup your TrollBlood..LOL).....seeing as we have ALWAYS tried to inspire and even competed a little in some ways with one another...........Here's To You Bro!

Seriously though....Wish me luck...I may really wind up making this suck because of how DAM TINY this is..JEEZ!.

Taking a Haitus for a while.

Figured as a courtesy to my fellow bloggers, and the New-Blood Gunpla modeler's out there.

It would be very crass to say the least, if I up an faded for a few months or longer.
Do to many negative events in my life (My Mother's Illness / The Bad Economy), and the cold winter month's ahead . I have lost interest in modeling so to speak, I may renew my 2nd passion of martial art's training instead (Which Cant be blogged very well)

I will more than likely lurk about an drop a occasional comment here and there, but I have no immediate plans on updating my blog anytime soon. A Million THANKS for checking out what I have been able to share in the last year, Please FEEL FREE to use any information within my prior post for your creative endeavours.

2011 SUCKED AZZ!..And Won't Be Missed

Well my fellow bloggers, this particular post won't be as cheery nor as eloquent as some of my prior post's or all the outstanding post's from other Blog's......(hold on to yer trouser's LOL) 

I have quite a bit of angst toward this past year, and feel the need to let off just a bit of steam so I can mentally move forwards into 2012 with a bit more OPTIMISM......AND this is not meant to offend any one person /s.

Bit O Bad News.

Mostly as a FYI to those who have been following some of my Prior DIO WIPS, (Destroyed City, Blast Crater Base) I have had to suspend and terminate all projects due to unforeseen events over the holiday weekend.

The Destroyed City and Blast Crater Dio's are trashed, and will not be able to be continued at this point in time. (Hopefully I will 1 day be able to rebuild both of them bigger and better) As for taking on any other new projects from here on out is totally unforeseen, I hope to be able to post a few re-ups , but that will probably be it for me until "I" am able to obtain/maintain a more viable and creative atmosphere in my life.

(I do apologize to anyone who has been looking forward to the completed Diorama's, but life happens unfortunately  :(  )

A Very Sincere Christmas Wish and Reminder To Be Of Good Cheer.

Alright folks, I first would like to say that I'm really not trying to pull on any heart strings with this little post of mine...............More so a reminder to appreciate the things that matter the most in life.

As I have sat and reflected on this year opposed to last year, I really have to be thankful and count my blessing's. I think a lot of folks have felt the economic down slide (as much as the media say's other wise..BS)..I sure as heck know I have..sheesh.

I have reflected on all the past Christmas's and the good memories as well as the not so good, But the thing that always sticks out the most is the being around my wife/kids/family/friends. This Christmas will certainly pale in comparison with any type of gift giving, But thankfully important things are still intact and functioning normally..(Necessities of life).

There will be people around the world who have less to look forward too this holiday, and for that my heart hurts when I think about it....So appreciate what you have and If you can reach out to someone who might not have at all...then do so.

Happy BirthDay Wishes To My DAD. 1941-2004

Funny thing today, I have been feeling a little outta sorts for no major reasons at all..then it struck me.

My Father's Birthday is today which is October 31st ( Halloween) , Talk about spooky things....I took a evening  nap and dreamt of my dad, then found myself listening to Jazz..( My Dad played the SAX).

My Wife comes downstairs (with my Mom on the Phone), while I'm checking out my FB page ( which I forgot I had to use another B-day (my DAD's)..Sorry about that Guys.

I lost my dad to a Brain Aneurysm back in 2004, and surely miss him along with all the trick or treating we did when I was a kid.

I will share One of my Fathers Paintings here with my Blogging Brothers/Sisters , Here's to My DAD...the Artist, The Musician, The Writer, The all-around creative Guy....If only I had 50% of his talents.

My 2yr Old Grandson Using My Airbrush...WHAT?

Here is "One" of those amazing moments in Life, That parents/grandparents/and just in general you don't want to miss.........VIDEO OF A TODDLER AIRBRUSHING!....(below)

Creativity runs very deep in my blood, and I figured I'd give my 2yr old Grandson a test run....Not so recently we finally started to build a relationship, and so far he is my shadow in so many ways.

1st:  I wanted to test his intelligence/mechanical skill levels, and 2nd to see how much of my spirit he truly has.

I have mentored "all four" of my children in some form of artistic expression, and now....I have found another legacy within my family of artist's.....My Grandson!

"NOTE".....ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES  WERE IMPLEMENTED IN THIS PROJECT!

First we Modified the Truck with a tow line....using a battery powered tool.

Then I repainted the dump truck with spray paint..."No Grandson" this time.

AND THEN THE MAGIC HAPPENED!

He is a natural for handling a precision tool, and has excellent dexterity.

NOW FOR THE END RESULTS.

Now..Keep in mind that he did not Airbrush my face, nor scare when I turned on the compressor....Or anything else a 2 year old toddler might be prone to do..........He Customized His First KIT At 2 years Old.
