The new Pacific Rim Trailer is awesome, The fact that mom is the sole reason behind my love of sci-fi and is no longer here to see this SUCKS.
She had to be 1 of few older woman who has seen howls moving castle, princess mononoke and the like,

Happy Mothers Day To ALL MOM'S Out There And To the One I Lost.

Firstly I'd like to send out a heart felt HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to any an all MOM'S who frequent or stumble across my blog, secondly to my MOM who was recently lost to me and my family.

After spending the day packing up her apartment it has turned a 220lb 6'.1" hardened man back into a weeping child yearning for his mother's unconditional love, So...Too the guys out there...I don't care how
bad a$$ you think you may be...Appreciate yer MOM....the loss of one's mom is inexplicable...no matter how close or detached you may be....it gets you in a place you did not think existed.

Debbie, My Mom, My biggest fan....I Miss you.

On April 27th at 3:06 am, My Mother Debbie passed away as I and my siblings held her tight.

She was......

My inspiration, My biggest fan, ....... My Mom.
she impacted so many lives, she sacrificed so many things, she gave her last so others could have, she loved when others would not, she fought when most would have given up.
All that I am and have ever over come is owed to her, all that I have achieved or tolerated is due to her.

Its a wonder that animals had never been afraid of her, and I feel that much poorer with her absence.

Thank you for being my mom, I miss you terribly.

10,000.00 A.Z. (After Zeon) war long forgotten..WIP

Been real busy with many things as of late, Sssoooo..this is taking me a bit longer than hoped. After I took care of some business today, I jumped right back on this project.
Wasted a few hours casting more structure's, I think it was because it was a bit colder today than yesterday dang it. I was able to lay down some ground work and fiddle about with the layout of it, also picked up a few Prieser N scale animals so as to set the tone for this diorama. I still have a long way to travel with this because of all the foliage and weathering that I have envisioned, I was inspired recently to try and simulate a scene from the Will Smith Movie "I AM LEGEND" (reference picture @ the bottom)

And for those who don't know what Zeon is, Its the faction that fought against the united earth federation in the Gundam series..I think..lol...Hence the Title.

The long process to creating something old.

Back at this little 1/44 scale diorama I started last year, today i'm working on removing the salt which I built up over 2 layers of acrylic with a base coat of silver enamel (for durability while working) hopefully.
I will probably spend the rest of the day hand painting/washing/pigmenting this little bugger, I still haven't quite decided how much rust effects I want to go with since this is futurist robot metal..but the chemicals in the paint might be a decent excuse to add a touch here and there.

From the reference photo of the surroundings for this, I feel like I have a hella long road to travel..but we shall see.

Trying hard to get back at IT!

Its been a long hard road these last 2 years, and I really haven't had much stress relief . I recently got a spark to try and get back into it from my good friend DC23 , after seeing his hand painted (Ed Hardy-esq) cherry blossom Ma.k Fauz .

  

Since yesterday afternoon and up until 3am this morning, I have been working on a few forgotten projects. Got right back to them soon as I finished my work out this morning, mostly prep work so when I'm able...these parts of the project will be done...and to hold back any procrastinations (hopefully)
